It is true, I am not dead although, some days I certainly would rather be. Time seems to pass slower these days and I'm not entirely sure why. It could be that I don't have someone to pass the time with but not all hope is lost. I am enjoying this new found freedom doing what I please, with whom I please, when I please.

I have recently started some new projects. I am working on reading the Harry Potter series. I am currently on the 4th book and it promises to be problematic. I cannot seem to get into this series as much as others I have read in the past. I also recently started Zumba. It's so much fun and although I dreaded it at first, it has gotten to the point that I look forward to it when I know it's Tuesday or Thursday. I have lost 10 pounds (by really not even trying) since around Christmas.

Also, as I mentioned in earlier posts, I have been writing again. The mood comes and goes these days but I made a page on allpoetry.com. If anyone is interested you can read my stuff at www.allpoetry.com/sbryant89. I would love comments, whether they be good or bad. :)

11/16/2011 - Title: Remembering to Forget

I will never forget

Our initial contact on World of Warcraft, flirting like crazy

And that first 6 hour phone conversation.

That time your sister heard us, your mom didn’t care,

And freaking out about it later.

Meeting some of your friends, hugging your arm while you drive,

And making plans for the future.

Getting drunk and watching Walk The Line, asking you if you’d done your sit-ups,

And molesting you once we laid down.

The anxiety I felt when you talked about being deported, saying the “L” word on accident,

And driving 90 to see you for 10 minutes before you left for work.

The short hellos, the long goodbyes,

And trying to make every minute count.

We will always have

The initial hug, Forgetting Sarah Marshall,

And a right-wing gun show.

That first kiss, hot, steamy showers,

And baby clothes from a yard sale.

Margaritas at El Rodeo, me smoking for the first time,

And meeting some of your friends.

Homemade pizzas, texting like crazy,

And Where The Wild Things Are (Arrrooooo).

Real Steel, Rafferty’s,

And making love, a lot.

I will try to forget

Slowly losing time, complaining about Renee

And nagging you about going to the doctor.

Bitching about your drinking, crying in front of you – twice,

And those words “time” and “space.”

The time I pushed you away when you tried to comfort me, the way you say my name.

And throwing myself at you once you told me you were pretty much done.

Accusing you of things because of the clothes, seeing the links on your laptop,

And the hollow feeling I had driving home after that conversation.

All the times I said I was sorry, all the times I should have but didn’t.

And how I feel now, awaiting your decision.

I am posting several writings I have penned as of late. Starting with the most recent - see if you can notice a change, it's almost as though you can see the roller coaster of emotions.

11/15/2011 - Title: I Imagine

Sleep comes hard,

Eating comes harder.

I imagine this is what depression feels like.

Something so silly yet,

Something so serious.

I imagine this is what happens when you give in.

Living to love,

Loving to live.

I imagine it means nothing without that someone.

Words are words but,

Actions speak louder.

I imagine your words and actions are in conflict.

Time and space,

Simple little words.

I imagine, so hard to give, especially when love is at stake.

11/13/2011 - Title: "I'll Consider It."
His words were barely a whisper as she walked into the bedroom. “I need some space,” he said, “It’s not you it’s me.”

The instant the words rang from his lips, the sound of shattering glass. No, the sound of my shattering heart, I became instantly numb. I began to bite my lip as my chin started to quiver, “No! Not here,” I thought, “Not in front of him, I can’t let him see me cry.” But of course, these words were in vain. Hot, salty tears began streaming down my freckled cheeks, the same freckled cheeks he caressed hours before.

“I…I don’t understand.” My words were coming about jumbled in between sobs. “What happened? What did I do?”

“Samantha.” He said with authority, the way he always does when he really wants me to listen, as he grasped my shoulders. “Come here.”

“No! Stop.” I said as I pushed away but inside I was longing for his touch but not like this, his loving touch, the touch from hours before. “Just tell me what all this means.” I blurted out as my jerked with each sob. I attempted to cover my face with a pillow.

“Don’t hide from me, talk to me.” He said in his normal, calming tone. The tone that, in hindsight, always gets him what he wants.

“What do you want me to say? I think you have said enough for the both of us.” I managed to string enough words together to sound coherent.

“I just need space and time to do me. I feel buttoned down and I don’t like it. I’m really struggling with a bunch of things. I still have feelings for my exes. I’m just fucked up.” He said as he averted eye contact.

My inner monologue was going crazy; I’m not entirely sure what I said. I just remember saying, no, begging, “Just let me love you” over and over again. And something along the following lines:

“Regardless of what you think, you are a good person. You deserve to be loved not abused or cut down like you have been. I want to give you that love. You said it yourself, you don’t do lonely well so, what’s the point of asking for space if you are going to be thinking about me all the time anyway (a little vain, I know)? Please consider the feeling you had when you decided you were going to give this ago, remember feeling excited, scared, nervous, and in love – hold on to that feeling and know you deserve it! Let me give that to you! Please don’t just throw me, this, us, away.”

At least, if I didn’t say all that, I certainly meant to.

“I’ll consider it.” Is all he left me with.

10/30/2011 - Title: My Drive Home

The sky turns a light purple,

The clouds are shaded pink.

The farther I get from you,

The more I think and think.

The wheels under me turn so slow,

Carrying me away from you.

Each exit is a heartbreak.

With each mile, a little more blue.

The time we spend together

Is priceless at best.

I can’t ever get enough.

This loneliness causes such unrest.

I don’t see this coming to an end.

But this longing breaks my heart.

I love you with everything in me

And will fight to keep from coming apart.

If this is the person you want to be,

A person who breaks promises and lies to his friends.

Someone who could care less, who doesn’t make amends.

10/16/2011 - Untitled

The closer to “home” I get, the heavier my heart grows.

What is “home”? Isn’t where you’re heart lies?

I leave you in body only.

With each goodbye I leave a bit of my soul with you.

The red lights on the interstate remind me of the blood in my veins.

I know my heart is still pumping so, why does it feel so cold?

I need to rearrange, do something drastic.

Am I ready? Drastic measures, and for what?

Is he ready? Can this work?

This stress is not mine but to carry the burden is my duty.

I do not do this with disdain but with comfort and certainty.

For the one I love has much too much to carry.

And I know for he would do the same for me.

He would accept the same burden with dignity.

Because doing this is responsible, even healthy.

10/04/2011 - Title: "It Will All Be Ok."

Your scent lingers on me and my hair smells of smoke, remnants of our last rendezvous.
Memories flood my brain.

My mind is jumbled with thoughts of tomorrow, the next day, 10 years from now.

And then there’s the question that pounds behind my eyes; “What exactly will become of this?”

I rattle that thought around a bit and can draw no conclusions.

Yet, it is this very thought, or lack thereof, that soothes me.

I breathe deeply in an attempt to still my wandering mind and I see your calming blue eyes.

Your soft, comforting words ring in my ear, “In the end, it will all be ok.”

I let those words flow over me like water from a pitcher and take another deep breath.

As the thought coats my mind I can’t help but grin and nod as the words pour from my own lips, “Yes, it will all be ok.”

Things Are Changing. I'm rearranging.

So I guess I'm going to blog again and this promise will last for probably a few months. A lot has happened. I've graduated from college and and looking for full-time work. D.J. and I broke up after 6 years but it was for the best and I've found someone who I really enjoy spending my time with even though he is on the other side of the state. Things are good, I am happy with life.

Vacation - Gatlingburg 2010

D.J. and I recently enjoyed our second vacation in TN. We stayed at a super cheap, fairly decent Super 8 on Historic Nature Trail Road. We were there from July 19 to July 22. We did so many different things. In an attempt to remember everything I decided to blog about it. We went to Wonderworks, The Hollywood Wax Museum, Star Cars, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Ripley's 3D theater, Hall of Illusions, Arcadia Arcade at the Space Needle, and MagiQuest, which was extremely awesome! lol..We ate at some awesome places as well. We ate at Bubba Gumps, Hard Rock Cafe Gatlinburg, and the Mellow Mushroom. It was a great trip. We are already planning to try to go back to MagiQuest...lol, we are such nerds!

D.J. and I had a pretty good 4th of July weekend. We took part in the HWY 52 yard sale and got some great things ranging from an end table to some awesome records. We watched the fireworks twice, once in Jackson and again in Morehead with some friends. It was pretty darn fun.

I watched Eclipse over the weekend and I must agree with everyone I've talked with, it has been the best movie of the saga yet. The book was also my favorite. I won't ruin it for anyone but the historic aspects were awesome in both the book and the movie. I have added Eclipse to my 2010 movie list below. That is all (haha).

Its old news now but im finally 21. Nicole and I went out on March 15th to celebrate. We went to the pub - it was extraordinary and we watched Alice in Wonderland (3D) that was also extraordinary. There is only like 4 weeks of school left and I am excited even though I will be taking summer classes! woo!

It has been awhile since my last post. School broke for winter break and it has been a good one. Most of it was spent with D.J. and I wouldn't have had it either way. I got lots of good things for Christmas including a Nintendo 64 (teehee) and a guitar which I am slowly but surely working on. The New Year started off good....D.J., Mom, Dad, Brandon, Eddie and, I watched the ball drop together and shot off fireworks...it was fun! The weather has been soooo cold - it is insane! D.J. and I recently watched "Avatar" and I can see why it has grossed over 1 Billion dollars! It was really good! It was a visually stimulating heart-wrenching masterpiece! With this I shall start the 2010 movie list

I watched New Moon on Saturday with my mom, Angie, and Tiffany. It was totally awesome. I liked it much better than the first Twilight installment but it still doesn't compare to the book. There were several things the movie did not fully explain like why Jacob actually cut his hair, etc...Overall though, I thought it was good and was extremely pleased with how Jacob looked! lol...Eclipse comes out in 2010, that promises to be interesting...it was my favorite book despite complaints from most other Twihards. Nevertheless, I am already excited for that.

As for other things, School is wrapping up. It is Thanksgiving Break this week. There is only two more weeks to go. It seems things have went by so fast. I only have a year left - it is pretty insane! Things are moving so fast.

Usually after watching a movie over the weekend I update the movie list but I feel as though there are more pressing issues. If you do not know, Ted Kennedy passed away August 25th (Tuesday) 2009. This is truly a sad time for all Americans but especially Liberals and Democrats.

I absolutely loved Inglourious Basterds! I knew I was going to like it, I am a Quentin Tarantino fan but it surpassed my expectations. It wasn't very historically accurate but I wasn't expecting it to be. It had just the right amount of necessary gore as well as that Q.T. humor. Brad Pitt was excellent as Lt. Aldo Raine and the rest of the Basterds were casted perfectly! Samuel L. Jackson done some voice over and I mean, who doesnt love that man? lol All and all this movie was excellent as long as you are watching it for entertainment and NOT for historical accuracy!

G.I. Joe on the other hand wasnt so hot. I kept getting deja vu' throughout, most of the special effects and even some of the footage was from other movies (Black Hawk Down - notice the credits.) It was funny to watch Channing Tatum try to show emotion. The movie overall was very comical, especially watching it with D.J. and Jackie who constantly made jokes. I may not appreciate it because I was not/am not a G.I. Joe fan but as a movie critic with no prior knowledge it was not enjoyable or easy to follow.

Theres my movie review for the day...no one to other stuff...
School is going pretty good. I just hate getting up so early! Most of my classes are promising to be extremely time consuming but other than that I think it's going to be a good semester!

District 9 was pretty good. D.J. It was wayy different than I thought it would be but it was good.

I am at Morehead now. Finally moved in and ready to go! I am having some problems with my meal plan and stuff though but I hope to get that worked out tomorrow! Things are going good. I totally get along with my roomie and my new P.J.s are awesome! I have to get up at 7 in the morning for an 8 o'clock class so I think I am hitting the beeedddd!

D.J. and I made our trip to TN successfully. One wrong turn but thanks to TomTom we made it safely! We had a really good time. Dollywood was awesome, despite my blister! The trolleys in Pigeon Forge were a life saver! Dollywood was really all we did. Before we headed home we took in some Fantasy Golf and some outlet shopping. We also ate at The Blue Moose! It was totally awesome! I think we are going to make it an annual thing, that is, finances allowing! :)

Harry Potter was really good. I was kind of lost but it was wayy epic. The effects and storyline, the bit I understood, was really good! Orphan was excellent...the story line was really good. I reccommend it for anyone, especially those who like a twist at the end!

In other news....D.J. and I are definately on for Dollywood! We are going by ourselves which is kind of scary. I hope he gets to drive because I have never even driven on the interstate! All for now...maybe more laterrr!

creation museum

Soo this passed weekend (July 18, 2009) D.J. and I visited the Creation Museum with our church. I have to say it was truly amazing! If I wasnt a believer in the Genesis account of creation I think I would be after visiting! There is so much to experience one cannot explain it all or do it justice in words. It was a great weekend! In other news this is my last 10 hour day at work! It has been a rough summer and I am ready for a little rest before going back to school. I am really excited for both Atlanta and Dollywood!!! Woohoo!

Well I am back from vacation and it was wonderful, my feet still havent recovered! We covered Universial Studios and Islands of Adventure in two days! The lines werent that long and it only rained a little so it was really awesome. The beach was great (we found 100 dollars) and so were the peaches and........I TOTALLY GOT ENGAGED!

It was sooo sweet. D.J. and I went out to the beach Thursday (06-04-09) to build sandcastles but first we decided to look for shells. He told me to stand up and look into the sifter while he poured the sand in. We sifted a few times and I was like "we are never going to find shells all the way back here" and then I looked down and said "we found a ring!" and he said "will you marry me?" It was sooooo sweet!!! We celebrated with 12 dollar champange, thanks Deb! (lol) We celebrated our 3 year (dating) anniversary that friday. Our vacation was great!!! =)

Five more days till Daytona! My coworker told me Daytona had flooded a few days ago so I'm hoping everything is ok down there! I am so ready to go! I don't have any movie updates this week because I'm afraid, if things dont change, that movie outings will cease. The couple that D.J. and I used to hang with is having some serious issues and I am not sure if they are ever going to settle them but I sure do hope so! Not just for us but for them, they seem perfect together! Yesterday was D.J.'s birthday! He is 19! YAY! lol...we went to Richmond, had a good time, I'm just glad stuff was still open lol...My cousin had a baby yesterday, his name is Reid, supercute! All for now!

Wolverine was really good. I think i liked it better than the X-Men movies. And i mean c'mon, Hugh Jackman! lol....the cast was really good....plus its always fun to be with Jackie and Amanda. I went to Gattitown this weekend for the first time and it was AMAZING! lol.....I think I am addicted...it was really fun....everyone should go! Went to TNA this weekend too! It was great! I didnt get ODB's autograph but i did get Eric Young's, Earl Hebner, Consequences Creed's and, Abyss'....it was really kool! It was extremely fun and they might bring a PPV around! Only 27 days till Daytona! lol

I loved Obsessed. It was really good. While we were at the theater the movie reel came off the machine and melted some of the tape, it was funny, you only see those things on T.V.! Anywho...all and all it was a great movie! I cannot wait to watch Wolverine! I hope Jackie and Amanda can go! Underworld was really good especially if you are a fan. If you are like D.J. and I and can hardly remember the other movies this one is still good, it is a prequel so it works! Besides a fight, Valentine's day was incredible! I got surprised on the 13th with 2 bouquets of my fav flowers, candy and bump its! lol it was soo sweet and D.J. danced together outside in his headlights to "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton :D It was wonderful!

Taken was really really awesome but I am a Liam Neeson fan! It was really action packed with a really deep story line - totally good. Also watched Iron Jawed Angels on DVD also totally awesome! It was really chocked full of history and some humor!

I finally got my books and have been playing catch-up like crazy. My eligibility application to the TEP got accepted and now im onto step too. I am also in the process of getting all my paper work ready for MSU - crazy stuff!!! All for now!

Yo, I was on ice! lol. Yesterday mom and I went to town and it got BAD quick and on the way home i got to drive on ice for the first time! It scared the crap outta me! People were in the ditch and everything, lol, it was crazy! I am just glad its over, i dont ever wanna do that again, at least not without 4-wheel drive! lol. Anywho....ummm i think thats all...not much but i wanted to mark that down in history, lol...Also, i hate UPS right now!

I watched Resident Evil: Degeneration recently it was pretty good. Left me with a lot of questions and more in love with Leon...rofl! DJ signed up for Netflix and its pretty awesome! lol

2009 Movie List!!!
1. The Spirit

The Spirit was a really good movie. I love Frank Miller! Gabriel Macht (the guy who plays The Spirit) was absolutely gorgeous and hes also an awesome actor. While watching The Spirit, D.J. and I came to the conclusion that he is the perfect Captain America and must be cast in the Cap movie! lol All and all it was an excellent movie!!!

2009 is going pretty well so far. I am currently at work and everyday it is the same thing: Myspace. I browse myspace almost all day. I usually get depressed, epsecially when i look at someone's I was really close with in high school. There are a few people out there right now that I miss so bad and they are living life and having tons of fun without. I am not sure how it turned out this way but i believe its my own fault, if anyones. I am totally happy with myself but just not happy with my circle (which is actually nonexsistent). I know they wont read this but; Ashley, Amanda, Nicole - I miss you all. :(

Watched Eagle Eye on DVD. It was good but left a few too many loose ends for me! All and all it was good and totally action packed.

Christmas was good - got lots of pretties! New Years was even better - went to a Dirt Drifters/38 Special/Lynard Skynard concert to ring it in. It was really awesome!

Umm....2008 was a good year and 2009 im sure will only get better.

Halloween and Thanksgiving were both fun. Now its officially Christmastime! Last weekend we had a big adventure with the tree. D.J. came over, like he does every weekend now and we all (me, D.J., mom and dad) decided to get a real tree so we went tree hunting. Needles to say it snowed last weekend and the roads were bad but we decided to go try to get one anyway. We went and found one, I was so excited because is would be my first "real" Christmas tree. We got back to the house, put it up and it looked pitiful but we decorated it anyway. Mom kept laughing and it made me feel bad so i said we would just tear it down and put up the fake one and we did. Sunday morning we took it down and put up the fake one. Mom and I have decided we are going to look early next year and get a good tree! Anywho...I am definitely ready for Christmas but its raining right now and it makes me sad.

Twilight was really good. It in now way compares to the movie but as a stand alone movie its really good. Book readers should watch it but keep your expectations a bit low. Also, D.J. and I recently watched Tropic Thunder and Step Brothers...they were both really funny but both had a lot of cussing and i mean CUSSING (G.D. and M.F.)!!!! ugghh!!!! I also have watched Expelled with Ben Stein, it was also really good and really interesting...definitely a watch for people of all faiths or lack there of. That is all.

Some things have changed as of late. I got a new job with the Upward Bound program, I am really excited! I worked at Shell Mart for 6 months and that was 6 months too long! lol I am so glad God has blessed me with this wonderful job! Also, yesterday was the first frost of the year!!! Isnt that crazy?!?! Also, I am ready got Halloween, woot woot!!! I went to court days yesterday and I didnt buy a purse!!! Surprised? I was too!! lol. That is all. :P

Clone Wars was a really good movie for the Star Wars fans. There were certain parts in the movie in which i felt it was watered down but it still worked. The new character, Anakin's padawan, is clearly geared toward a younger audience but she added a good balance to the new action. Also, i feel it was right to include her so the Star Wars fan base can continue to grow. Other than there theres nothing new. I am almost done with Breaking Dawn and it saddens me to think I am almost done with the series. I bought The Host also by Stephenie Meyer but haven't started it yet. Between school and work there isnt much anything else new.

The summer has been going really good even though im working most of it i get to spend more time with DJ. I am so glad he is out of high school...lol...Anywho...theres not much else to say. If you hadnt guessed by the extreme lack of posts i have been extremely busy lately. The semester is almost over and i have been either studying/doing finals or working. I really like work but i dont think D.J. likes it too much. It scares me that he is getting upset. I try to spend as much time with him as possible but he just doesnt understand that i have to work when they tell me to. I am so happy that i am off Saturday and Sunday. It is D.J.'s senior prom and I am more excited about this one than any of mine in the past. We are going to Hazard tomorrow to get my nails done and pick up some mothers day gifts. I feel like such a big nerd bc i am so excited....lol.

I done something really kool today. I opened a checking account. I feel so...idk...grown up i guess. It feels really nice to be making my own money and enough of it to have a checking account. I cant wait for three months to pass so i can apply for a debit card....lol...well...thats all for now. I best be getting to class. Farewell few faithful readers....:)

Awesome stuff has been happening here lately. I got a job, yes, it FINALLY happened!!! I also got insurance! Yesss! I started work yesterday and it was really kool. I think I am really going to like. I'm so glad The Lord answers prayers.

I cannot believe this. I got online this morning to kill sometime and one of my friends told me there was a house fire in our hometown last night and two people, possibly three were killed in the house fire. I knew two of the boys involved personally, one of which for sure survived, and they were excellent people. The mother and younger brother were as well sweet and nice. It's hard to believe that something like this could happen, especially with the crazy rain we've been having. I don't know. I'm just full of questions because of course the small stories they post on the internet doesn't tell you anything. I'm so sad and confused right now. We all need to pray for the survivors.

I know it's been awhile but I've been terribly busy. For starters, I turned 19 since my last post. I didn't really do anything on my birthday but my moms got me a little something and on Friday D.J., his mom, his aunt, and I went to Lexington which was pretty kool. We went to the mall and got our characters drawn and he bought me some other kool stuff. My dad is supposed to get my windows tinted but then again I was supposed to get that for a present 3 birthdays ago.

I also found out since my last post that i had insurance for the entire month of march! That totally sucks because my scoliosis has been a batch and a half especially with the rain and all. I didn't find this out until like the last week of march which seriously sucked but ah well, it happens, right? I applied for insurance through Anthem via Farm Bureau and got denied but my moms said I should be able to get insurance under her plan at work which is awesome because she has some seriously good insurance! So yea...thats that.

In other news....I finally convinced myself to get the HPV vaccine. Well really, I thought about it for a long time and with my insurance and I knew I just couldn't. However, I got this really interesting email in my college inbox a couple weeks ago looking for females between the ages of 18-24 who would be interested in doing a medical study in which they would be compensated with a $25 Wal-Mart gift card and Lord knows I LOVE me some Wal-Mart so I thought what the heck. I scheduled and time and when I arrived the lady seemed really nice and two other girls I have class with were there taking it as well so it was kool. The lady administering the test told us it was a sex survey so it was a little awkward but she ensured us that no one would know whose survey was whose but her so it was kool. Halfway through the survey something clicked and I suddenly knew what the survey was all about when the survey began asking about protection and the level of fear we had of contracting cervical cancer. When we all handed in our surveys she asked us if we were interested in taking the vaccine completely free of cost and we all decided to do it so we all scheduled our appointments. D.J. had to go to the doctor in the same town on Friday anyway (where this clinic is located) so I decided to get my appointment the same day so we would only have to make one trip. The clinic is really really nice and was so comfortable (once i figured out where everything was...lol.) We weren't there long until they called me back but I must admit the shot hurt pretty bad and well from what I hear the rest (there is a series of three) are worse than the first so I'm kind of freaking out but I guess it will be ok.

The job situation is looking up. I applied to a couple more places and both seem promising. I actually had an interview with one place today and the lady seemed really nice and really flexible. She said she was willing to work with me and that she would give me a chance. I have to go back tomorrow to see if she got in touch with my references (which she said she was impressed with...lol.) I was skeptical at first but now I'm really really excited I just hope D.J. and I don't suffer too much.

Lastly, is anyone else besides me still in shock that Ric Flair is actually out of wrestling?! I figured when they put him up against Shawn Michaels that it would be the end but i just didn't want to believe it! I didn't watch the match last night but I did watch the farewell speech/ceremony tonight and this is the biggest WWE (or WCW for that matter because this also happened there too...lol) has gone to say goodbye to Ric. I'm not going to talk about it much but if you didn't watch and are a wrestling fan i urge you to watch it, I'm sure its on YouTube or WWE.com. It was so sad. I miss ya Ric! Boy o' boy have the past couple days been rough! I'm just gonna dive in and tell the story: I went to the doctor on Wednesday. I went for a sore throat and i was given Omnicef (an anti-biotic) and my doctor also prescribed some blood pressure medicine because my blood pressure had been consistently high. Wednesday night my stomach started hurting and i didn't think anything of it because i thought it may have been something i ate. Well, to make a long story semi-short; my stomach cramped and ached all night Wednesday night and all day Thursday. I missed classes on Thursday and when my mom came home from work i made her take me to the doctor because i didn't think i could drive myself. I had been running a fever but my mom kept telling me i was cold and clammy. When i got to the doctors office they tested me for stomach flu and i was negative.

This is where it gets fun! I was feeling nauseated so i told the nurse and my mom that i needed to go pee. When i came back from the bathroom they tried multiple times to get my blood pressure and failed. My mom said several times that i was "white as a sheet and my eyes lolled back in my head. When they finally got it it was like 60 over 50! Yay! So immediately they put me in this big exam room and put an IV in me (my first first!) The fluids were supposed to stabilize my blood pressure but it didn't happen. My doctor decided that between the stomach pain and the blood pressure issue that i needed to go to the hospital. She said i wasn't well enough to ride with my mom so i got to ride in an ambulance (my second first!) The ambulance ride was kool, i got freaked out when the raised my bed up thought, lol, felt like my stomach done a flip-flop! Anywho, when i got to the hospital my doctor had ordered that i be admitted and sent to ICU (I'm not sure whether or not to count these as two firsts or one so I'm just going with one for now) My doctor ordered a pelvic and stomach CT scan so i couldn't eat anything (i hadn't ate anything in like 13 hours!) my CT scan wasn't until like 7:15 pm and i was in ICU so my parents/family/friends could only be in there at certain times. After my CT scan i was so hungry and they told me i could eat whatever i wanted so i sent my dad out for a 10 piece nugget meal. I ate half of it and it was sooo good! They ushered my parents out and i had to sit by myself for like 2 hours and then my parents came in again. Being the awesome daughter i am i greeted my parents with a nice throw-up in the garbage can. Chicken nuggets is possible the nastiest thing i have ever thrown up! Needless to say i had to stay in ICU for the night and it was decided that the primary reason for my stomach pain was Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori)

The night was rather rough. I didn't get to sleep all that well. I do thank my nurse, Jennifer. I feel as though she was concerned and she was polite, cheerful, informative and, very cooperative the whole entire time she was with me. They were monitoring my blood pressure like crazy (every hour) so it would wake me up at 11 after, every time! I officially woke up at like 5:30 when my parents came in and told me they were moving me to the regular floor.

I was moved to the regular floor and was soon allowed breakfast. My doctor came in and said that my CT scan showed some fluid in the right lower quadrant of my stomach which wasn't supposed to be there so an ultrasound was ordered. My bladder had to be full for the ultrasound so i "drank like a fish until my eyeballs started to float" (according to my mom....lol) and once we called the nurses of course it took at least 30 minutes. The ultrasound was awful! It took like 30 minutes and i had to pee soo bad and it doesn't help when someone squirts freezing cold gel on your belly without warning you and proceeds to cram an ultrasound hammer (lol, that is NOT technical terms just for the record) onto your uterus! Anywho, the ultrasound lady (who almost ripped my IV out) told me i should know what the ultrasound showed in about 20 minutes (which of course in hospital language means like 20 hours!)
So my mom and i waited and waited and waited (my dad had gone home earlier because he simply could not keep his eyes open! lol) and eventually after lunch, supper, a lock down and, a code red my doctor came and told me that it wasn't anything. We had a discussion about my period and she then informed me that the reason i had the fluid there was because i had ovulated. Seems like they could have asked those questions before doesn't it?! So i was discharged around 6:30 and finally made it home.

PS: Thank you Debbie (if you read this) for the flowers and balloons. They definitely made me smile! Also to all my family and friends who kept calling and checking on me, my pastor and, my boyfriend DJ who bought me stuff that i haven't seen yet but I'm sure ill enjoy! Love ya Darlin'!

valentines day and the long for warm weather

Valentine's Day was awesome this year. D.J. and I decided to exchange gifts on Wednesday bc we didnt think we would see each other on Thursday. I got some wonderful things. I got a jewelry set, hershy kisses, a cute lil whistling monkey, a SUH-weet fondue set (lol...i wanted one sooo bad!), and an awesome card! We are going to watch Jumper (which is number 3 on our 2008 movie list) and eat somewhere nice! I have been craving a good steak! lol.

On another note...I am hating this weather. They give me just enough warm weather to drive with my windows down and listen to DMB and want to break out the flip-flops. Autumn and Winter are usually my favorite seasons but i cannot wait until warm weather. I long for it so!!!

Wowzers....who loved the Superbowl? Good ole' Superbowl 42! Difinately an upset and i loved every minuted of it!!! I think i seen Tom Brady cry! lol...i loved it! The Halftime Show was pretty good too. I was disappointed that they shortened most of the songs though. The stage was amazing! The episode of House that followed the game was awesome too!!! I love that show!!! :):) This weekend was just awesome! Friday was normal, D.J. and I just chilled at my house but on Saturday D.J. had a scholarship banquet and it was really nice. It was really fancy with the 3 forks and such. The best part was dessert though; Turtle Cheesecake! I almost died! It was soooooo good!!!! :D:D:D Just like this weekend!! Welp im off!!! Byes!!!!!

Keeping on track with the list of 08 movies i shall recap and then add. So far D.J. and I have watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and most recently Cloverfield. This movie is absolutely crazy. It definately wasnt what i was expecting and i wont ruin but it is overall a good movie. Not on the 2008 list but definitely with mentioning is No Country for Old Men and I Am Legend. No County for Old Men reminds one of Natural Born Killers. Its definitely off the wall and random, a bit gory as well. I Am Legend is possibly one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life! It has everything and like i said earlier, im not one to ruin movies but this is a MUST see!!!!! We watched Pan's Labrinth yesterday....it was crazy and the minus the subtitles....totally awesome!

Other news....lol...I recently read Where the Heart Is and if you have watched the movie and enjoyed it you MUST read the book...it was great! WAYYYYY better than the movie!!

2008 has definitely been a good one so far. I got everything settled with my college transfer, job opportunities are looking up and things are just going good. Ringing in the New Year was fun. My family and I had a little get together and it was fun. D.J. and one of my cousins spent the night. We shot off bottle rockets and watched the ball drop with my parents. D.J. and i have decided to keep track of all the movies we watch this year bc there are so many we want to watch. We recently watched Alvin and the Chipmunks (movie #1 in 2008) and it was so great. I absolutely loved it...it was soooo cute and soo funnny, i recommend it to everyone!! Anyone i figured i would post bc its been a while! All for now! :):)

Its been a long time but i've been so busy with finals and Christmas and such. Its all been so much fun! I done awesome on finals...i made the deans list with a 3.67 GPA. Christmas was awesome too! I got tons of awesome stuff!! It was probably one of the best Christmases (sp? lol) ever!!! I got some awesome clothes, jewelry, a car thing for my ipod, tons of bath stuff and perfume, etc....it was awesome!! We are planning a small New Years party and im psyched for that. I think its just going to be like mom, dad, D.J. and I but thats all that matters. You are supposed to be with the people who love you and the people that you love on New Years, arent you? lol...well ne who....more posts soon....i promise...lol

This is the 5th or 6th dream i have had here lately in which very close members of my family, my friends, and even my boyfriend have, in a sense, "left" me. The dreams are too weird to explain but it just bothers me so much. I have never had anyone abandon or leave me so i really dont understand it, i just know its bothering me. :S

This weekend was pretty good. As usual, i spent it with D.J. I've realized that he is the only reason i come home every weekend. When im with my parents we just fight or they get on my nerves SOOOOO bad! We went to the Wooly Worm today and it was fun, there wasnt much but we ate chinease and just had a nice, little, simple time, lol. I love being with him, he the reason i breathe! We had a good time at church this morning, it was "old fashioned sunday" and it was neato! D.J. and I dressed up, i love seeing him dressed up, probably bc its a rare thing! lol...well...thats all for now...im back at the Lloyd and ready to start my week!

This week has been one of the best weeks yet. Bre, Jen, Asian, and I took a mini road trip to P-Burg. We had a blast. We ate mexican and reeked havoc at the local Wal-Mart (tons of pics on myspace). It was so much fun just to get out and have a "girls evening". Oh and last night was midnight madness. It was really awesome. We all got pimped out with paint and colored hairspray (pics will be on myspace soon...lol). It was so fun, i loved it! Anywho, its finally friday and im so excitied to go home. I will probably get to go to Court Daze/Days (w/e) this weekend which is awesome! Anywho, ive got to get to "work" lol..so well readers! :)

Wozers! Its been a great "vaction". It was way too short to very awesome. I got all my hair cut off and donated it to locks of love. I love my new cut and it felt really good to do something nice like that. This weekend was the "heritage fair" and it was so freaking sweet!! The theme this year was the 1970s. Saturday morning DJ and i watched the parade. It was really kool, no band though, which sucked but we did see Darth Vader, Princess Leia and a Storm Trooper! It was really kool. The highlight of the weekend though was a KISS Army concert. These guys were AMAZING! They were in full costume and make-up. The guy who played Gene Simmons spit fire and blood. They were awesome musicians and really awesome guys. They all hung out afterwards and took pictures and stuff. DJ and I decided they were going to preform at our wedding. lol...well..thats all for now!!! More soon!!

Wowzers, I am on a roll. This has been one good week, besides starting my rag, lol. I finally finished Eclipse and i must say i was quite impressed and happy with the turnout. The Epilogue was kinda weird though, if that is a preview of the next book im no so sure i will enjoy it as much but eh, who knows? I am officially in love with Stephenie Meyer, lol, so im sure i will read it anyway!

On that note, the reason i got to finish my book is a bad one. Last night one of my roomies decided to get drunk with a couple of our friends. I thought it was absolutely retarded but i figured, eh, its her life, its not my place to intervene. Im not real sure what all went down last night at their mini-party but thats all they have been talking about all morning. I have been kinda quiet around them today bc i know if i open my mouth it will probably be something mean so ive got them all kinda worried bc im not "being sam" today. Oh well, idk, i hope this doesnt become a habit!

Earlier in the week i was talking to DJ, like i do every night and he told me that his dad might let him get a tattoo!! I could not believe it bc his dad is like super-duper strict on him, not to mention he cant do it without parental consent! I was really excited for him but we always said that we were gonna get our first together. Ive been looking at some tat designs on the net and i really really really want one now more than ever before especially since he is getting one! I havent talked to my parents yet bc im kinda afraid and i think it would be better to talk to them about it in person. DJ was like, "our 18 they cant stop you" but the thing is, i need their money to get it!!! Lol...i hope i get my nerve up to talk to them! Im really excited!

Welp this past weekend was pretty crazy. I went to the Honey Festival every single night AND went to a family reunion! It was so tiring but so crazy! It was nice just to hang with D.J. all that time. I came back to school monday evening and this week has been going SOOOO slow!! I cant wait to get back to my baby! Welp im gonna go find a mindless game to play to kill some time!!!

Well i moved in Sunday and things are going good. The first night was rough, the second day/night was pretty good and today has been better. I'm hoping this trend keeps up! It's finally time for me to go back to school and i must admit im rather excited. I am completely faithful that D.J. and I will make. I will admit, i was scared at first but not ne more. I am quite excited about school. It's all coming full circle! Im so happy and so in love! :):)

D.J. and I just got back from New York on Saturday. It was a little hectic but super super fun! We done so much. We visited the United Nations, i bought (another) purse in Chinatown, watched Phantom of the Opera and The Color Purple, etc...it was so awesome! When we got back we went to a Lexington Horsemen game and they won! They are playing in the Championship game this weekend! D.J. and I also went and watched The Simpson Movie today! It was so funny and i don't even really watch the show, it was so kool. Sadly, most of the fun is over. D.J. goes back to school tomorrow and i have just 19 days b4 i move to ALC! I cannot believe it! I'm gonna miss him so much!

Whew...am i tired! DJ, his cousin, aunt, and i just got back from KY Kingdom. We spent 3 days in Louisville and they were great. We had an absolute blast!!! We spent 2 days in the park and it was awesome! We rode almost everything 100 times. The park was completely empty! All and all it was an awesome trip. I'm getting ready to leave again. Sunday we leave for our UB trip to NYC! I am so excited!

Today DJ and I have officially been together one year! We didn't do much today but it was nice just being with him and thinking about the past year. I cannot wait to spend many more with him! We registered for Upward Bound classes today too. I'm taking 2 more college classes and some classes with DJ. Its gonna be so much fun!!! This summer is looking up! lol

Yesterday was a great day! DJ, Aunt Deb, and I went to Cave Run and Morehead. Deb was off all week and she wanted to do something with us so we all decided to go to Cave Run. We went swimming for like 3 hours and it was so awesome because there was MAYBE 30 people there. Afterwards we ate at the GREAT Chinese resturaunt drove around Morehead's Campus. Deb is a Morehead Alumni and wanted us to see the campus in all it's glory, lol. We went shopping at a little shopping center in Morehead and had a great day all and all. DJ and I got to talk about a lot of things yesterday (college, life, marriage, kids, etc...) and any day we talk about something like that is a good day! :)

Friday, May 25, was D.J.'s birthday. For his birthday i decided to take him to Hazard, not much but hey, it was a lot considering both are parents are insane...lol..ne who, We watched Pirtates of the Carribbean 3: At World's End. This movie, if you are a Pirates fan, is amazing. I personally believe it is the best so far. They said this would probably be the last one but I believe, judging by the ending, there will be at least another one! I wont ruin it for anyone but there are some definate shockers in this one....some f'ed up stuff....lol but soooo awesome. The movie alone was super awesome but friday in general was great. I think i gave D.J. a pretty good birthday! We ate at Ponderosa and killed some time at WalMart. All and all, to me, it was a good day...lol. Then again, any day with him is a good day! This weekend was good all and all. Saturday and Sunday we spent at my house hanging out and relaxing....I love him so much!

Graduation has come and gone and i must admit it wasnt as overwhelming as i thought it was gonna be! The events leading up to it like senior day, cap-n-gown pics, and senior trip hit me harder than Graduation. I cried for maybe 30 seconds. Afterwards Tish, Saxon, Kim, Erika, and I went to Taco Bell and went bowling, it was super fun! We didnt get out of the bowling alley till like 12:15. It was so much fun! Anywho, now im ready to "start my life". Im trying my hardest to get a job but no one is biting the bait! In August im headed to Knott County for college and im really excited! All for now!

Prom #2 was WAY better than my prom. Everything looked so much better and DJ was actually himself. He was laughing and dancing, just goofing around! Everyone was actually pretty nice too, which is out of the ordinary b/c i think a couple of DJ's friends hate me! But everything at prom was awesome. Project prom was kool too. We went bowling and done tons of other kool stuff. All and all it was an awesome night/morning! I am so tired! lol...DJ leaves for his trip in about 7 hours and i miss him already! I cannot wait until next sunday, lol...

Wowzers, last week was a long week. We took our senior trip to Washington D.C. and New York City. It was such an awesome trip. We did so much! We watched Tarzan, seen TONS of monuments, went shopping, and almost got killed in Chinatown...lol. It was a great trip. I cannot wait to go back with Upward Bound and DJ in July! There is only 10 days until graduation...I cannot believe it!!! Its still overwhelming to me that I am a senior but its so grrreat! This weekend is going to be so crazy! Friday night is the FFA banquet and Saturday is DJ's junior prom. They have a project prom and we wont be back till like 6 in the morning. Its going to be so bittersweet spending this time with him. He leaves for his trip Monday...hes going to miss my graduation! :( Its ok though...i'll love him anyway! lol

Oh i know, its been forever but being a senior is so hard! lol...This past weekend was prom and i have to say it wasnt that pretty but it was my favorite prom ever. DJ and i went together (of course!) and had a WONDERFUL time. He looked so good and so did i (if i do say so myself!...lol). We danced so much! We also had fun hanging out with Tish and Saxon. It was one of the best nights of my life! I am so excited for his prom and project! He makes Everything so much fun! But enough about prom...lol. This week is gonna be so freaking boring. The Juniors and Sophomores are testing and the Seniors have NOTHING to do! I slept all morning today. I was so freaking bored. I starting to get excited though....I leave this Sunday for Senior Trip. I'm really really excited but im going to miss DJ soooo bad! Welp, thats all folks...Samantha out!

Omg! Yesterday DJ and his parents took me to see Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band for my birthday. It was the best birthday present ever! It was such an awesome concert. Steve Azar was the opening act, he was awesome too. I was so excited just to be there with DJ and experience that with him. I have came to the conclusion that Alto Reed (bob's sax player) is one of the koolest guys to live ever! I think he was my favorite member of the band. It was awesome! Im so glad i have an awesome boyfriend who gets me the best presents ever! Anywho, other than that nothing much has been going on. Both ball teams have made it too the regionals and the boys played last night but im not sure who won....welp, thats all ya'll!

Wowzers, this is my 3rd snow day in a row, not counting the weekends but its been nice. Friday we went to Lexington, my mom had a doctors appointment and i had decided to start a book the night before. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, if you have not read, i recommend it to all readers, especially if you love reading love stories and/or vampires. Sounds interesting doesnt it? Anywho, i read all weekend bc i couldnt really do anything because of the snow and i finished it yet yesterday. Im dieing to read the 2nd one....i order it yesterday so it should be here by at least the 10th i think!! Its killing me i wanna read it BAD!!!

So anywho, besides the reading, i got to spend some time with DJ, as usual :). Saturday he had a chess tournament and i had Academic Governor's Cup competition so we were busy until like 5 but then when he got back and i got done we went to his house. We both done pretty good at our competitions. He placed 5th overall and his team got 2nd place. I placed 3rd on the test that i take and our team placed 1st is quick recall. We cannot get overall scores yet because we havent done FPS or Written Comp. yet!!! We have to have it done by friday! Anywho, DJ and i hung out, it was fun. We watched Employee of the Month, its a cute movie, really sweet and who doesnt love Dane Cook and Andy Dick?

Sunday i almost died bc i didnt think i was gonna get to see him but i somehow, by the grace of God, talked my father into taking me to his house. We played in the snow, it was so much fun! We were sledding for like 2 hours i think. We had a few wipe outs but it was just so much fun. I always have so much fun with him. I love him so much!!! Yesterday made 8 months for us, i cannot believe we made it this far. I guess we are just meant for each other!!!

Wow, its been a month and ten days but im sorry faithful readers i have been super busy as well as distracted. Since i last posted i have finally made my college decision, i have already been accepted to Alice Lloyd College in Knott County. I also retook my ACT for the 3rd time and i finally got a score im happy with, a 22, its not GREAT but im happy with it!! DJ and i are still doing GREAT!!! In 11 days it will make 7 months for us! We exchanged gifts today and he got me a promise ring! I told him i wanted one, we customized one on the internet together and everything and like the first week of December he told me he wasnt going to be able to get it for me. Well, i opened all my gifts except "the big one". This box was one of those Frito Lays chip boxes (for those of you who dont know, thats a pretty big box). I had to dig through newspaper to find a post office box which was wrapped as well. Once i opened that there was MORE newspaper. Once i got to the bottom of the box i found a small wrapped box. I finally figured out what it was. I opened up the paper and almost cried. Inside the box not only was the ring but a small piece of paper he had typed the sweetest thing ever on (which will remain between me and him). All my other gifts (clothes, DVDs, Hairdryer, etc...) were great but i must say the ring was the best gift i ahve ever recieved. I love that boy! Merry Christmas all, hope it was half as good as mine!!!

Fear not my faithful readers for i am still alive but barely! I have been so freaking busy. Every weekday either band practice or academic competition/practice. On the weekends im usually doing band stuff. I hardly get to see DJ which sucks but things are starting to get better. Marching season is dieing down and im starting to get more and more free time. We spent wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday together this passed week which was GREAT but i just cant get enough of him.. hes my drug, i swear it but, i like being addicted...ne who..thats all i gotta say....i love life! keep it real peeps!

Well my faithful readers i MUST appologize. Things have just been crazy here lately. I cannot even remember what i last posted about but heres some updates: Band is going pretty good, we have our first competition this saturday and im starting to get nervous. DJ and i are doing great, his dad is kinda limiting us but oh well, we are both so busy we dont even notice that we are only allowed to be together 3 days a week! This year is going pretty good, i think, as far as grades go, im still a 4.0 or atleast a 3.8. Anywho...thats all i gotta say!

Well, turns out we changed our marching show...we are doing Grease now which is kool but if people would have listened to Erika and I we would have had this show since July! The Honey Bowl is this Friday and I am freaking out. Not only do we barely have pre-game figured out people are expecting a halftime show and there just isnt ne way! I am just so freaking out. Between band and all my freaking homework this year i hardly have time for DJ, whos schedule is also super hectic. The Upward Bound banquet is this Tuesday and im so freaking mad. I wanted to go so bad but DJ has a soccer game and i have band practice. My last year and i cant go to the freaking baquet it pisses me off bad. Besides the fact that this upcoming week is gonna be pretty crappy this past weeked was awesome. I was with DJ all Friday evening and all day saturday. We were just hanging out and it was so much fun, shew, i love that boy....lol...Anywho i reckon thats all ive got to say and oh yea, did i mention i was stressed?!

I went to the state fair this past Thursday and Friday PLUS i had a football game, the first one not to mention, that night as well. Our FFA(state fair) trip was pretty good. We had some people go that hadnt gone b4. Ben met him a lil woman. Shes some crazy(wild) junior(i think!). Shes so wrong for him and well get him into some deep crap but he wont listen to me! I dont know why he always falls for these girls! Anyway! The ball game was pretty good. We won...43 to 29! I think our team is going to be good this year! I have to admit...i had NO idea what i was doing out there telling the band where to go and what to do but i think i did ok and Mr. Burt thought so too..which is good! He told me we would work on some stuff and get me out there, confident in doing what im suppose to do. OMG! After the game was the fun part. The band had to wear uniforms, they suck..BAD but what sucked worse was that i told them at least 5 times to hand their uniforms ON the racks and we would put them up for them but NO they couldnt comprehend that! When myself and 3 of my other comrads got ready to leave, we were going to be the last people to leave anyway, we noticed SEVERAL uniforms thrown about, music stands along with music still out, and chairs thrown everywhere. The four of us stayed an extra hour AT LEAST picking all that crap up. There newbies are going to be the death of me i swear. I cannot stand that stuff. I dont see how someone can be so freaking incompatent! Shew, i hope it gets better. Mr. Burt is suppose to talk to them on monday. I hope it gets through...Lord knows they have the thickest skulls in the world!

This weeked was kool but ne time with him is time well spent..lol...Im blisters have finally gone away but my back is still kinda messed up but hopefully i can wear some of my nice clothes this week. Well school has started for both DJ and I. Things have been going pretty good. It sucks that we cant spend that much time together anymore though. This weekend was way fun though. We were together for the most part. Saturday we went to his Aunts/Grandmas. We went swimming which was way fun but i got sunburnt soooo bad. I like have blisters! :( Anyway, it was all fun. Today, he came over for the first time. We kinda just hung out in my room. I think mom got kinda mad but it was ok....we had a good time. School is going pretty good...i dont have that many classes with that many of my friends but its ok...we hang out some ne way. I just cant believe im a senior!

Yea yea, almost ten days and no post! Sorries! Not much has been going on. Band has been keeping me pretty busy. DJ and i watched Pirates 2 yesterday....it almost killed me. Lol...for those of you who have seen it.....wasnt that ending crazy? and for those of you who havent.....GO WATCH IT!!!!! Ne who....i got my schedule today, it is as follows:

Yes yes, i cant believe it myself. Me, back in band, after swearing id never be back. I think this year is gonna be a good year though. We have some pretty confident freshman and some kids that werent suppose to be in band again this year showed to camp today. I have been given an immense amout of responsibility this year. I have been chosen to be Drum Major. For those of you who dont know the Drum Major is the person pretty much in charge of the band throughout the season. I am required to conduct not only during our field show but also pep-band and pre-game. To most of you this is nothing but band mumbo-jumbo but i am very proud to have been given this responsibility. It has been said that a Drum Major must posess excellent leadership skills, i hope i can pull this off. After making this whim of a decision to rejoin band i guess the saying is true...once a band kid, always a band kid!
